"Make a commitment! The curtain will soon be going up on another exciting season for GTA. WonderQuest, three MainStage shows, and a myriad of second stage productions will be happening in various theatre venues on the campuses of Brenau University and Gainesville State College. To reserve the best seats in the house (as well as receive notices on upcoming events), I encourage you to purchase a season package and sign up for our newsletter. I also urge you to become an active member of Theatre Wings, the community support group that helps GTA students soar in all their productions! Volunteer opportunities include helping create a show (building sets or costumes, finding/making props, painting scenery, sweeping sawdust), working with concessions during intermissions to raise money for students to attend the annual South East Theatre Conference, ushering, and providing meals at critical times to keep students going.

In our most important role, Wings members are the threads that bind faculty, staff, and students to our community and weave all the parts together to create the special magic of Gainesville Theatre Alliance. Hurry!!! It's your cue to make an entrance. I look forward to seeing you at the theatre.

ACTIVE MEMBERS ($20 membership fee) have abundant opportunities to share in the total theatre experience by serving on one or more of the following committees:

Production - The "building" of a show: sewing costumes, finding props
Hospitality- Organizing refreshments for opening nights, meetings, and year-end celebrations
Ushering - Greeting and seating audiences
Concessions - Organizing and selling cookies and drinks during show intermissions
Strike - Feeding a grateful cast and crew as they strike the set at the end of each production
WonderQuest - GTA for Young Audiences needs ushers, hospitality members, and more
Membership/Season Subscription - Be a Theatre Wings and GTA Ambassador! Recruiting new WINGS members, contacting WINGS members for special meetings and events,helping with GTA Season promotion and sales

INACTIVE MEMBERS ($50 sustaining donation) help support Theatre Wings but are unable to serve on committees.
